The Crystal Springs Country Club is in the heart of the rolling hills of northern New Jersey golf country. In addition to serving five top notch golf courses, the Clubhouse shown at the right houses a greater than 40,000 bottle wine cellar and the prototype wine scanner. More information concerning the golf resort and spa can be found at the following link. Crystal Springs Golf and Spa Resort
An example of the first commercial version of the wine scanner is shown at the left. It combines the non-invasive and non-destructive aspects of magnetic resonance imaging with the chemical sensitivity of nuclear magnetic resonance. The unit has three necessary and critical elements: the superconducting solenoid magnet, the radio frequency pulsing electronics, and the tuned probe that houses the intact closed wine bottle.
